I'm almost afraid to share this

But if I don't, whose shoulder will I cry on if things don't go the way I want? So, I'm sharing!

I heard back from Julie from B&H. She said she liked what she read of both the first and second books, and told us to tell Karen Ball (yes, THEE Karen Ball) that she recommends my work! So, Karen now has my proposal and said she'll get back to us (me and my lovely agent Joyce Hart) next week.

For some reason, I'm a bit numb. I've known this since Monday and it's taken this long to say anything about it. Some say I'm in "protective mode." I think they're right. After all, it would be a dream come true to have Karen as an editor. And if she doesn't want my stories, I'll be heart broken. So, I'm gonna need you all to pray for me when I get the news, whether it's positive or negative.

In the meantime, please also pray that I'll trust in God's will for all this. You see, I know what I want, but is it what God wants?

We'll see!

  3. Congratulations, Sandi, I know exactly how you must feel and it must be so hard trying ot to get your hopes up but keep you confidence levels high. I hope it happens for you - you deserve to get what we want when you have worked so hard for it.

  4. It's so great to hear that someone likes your work enough to recommend it. Here's praying that the right door will open for you. At least you know you'll have an answer next week (instead of waiting for months). I'm waiting to do a celebration dance with you!

  5. Sandi, I so enjoyed meeting you at the ACFW conference. As I prayed for you today, I was reminded that ALL things work together for the good of those who love the Lord. I pray God opens the door for your books to be published, but even if He chooses to go a different route, I know His plans are to prosper you and not harm you--to give you hope and a future. :-) I'm with you in spirit and love and look forward to seeing God's hand at work in your life.

  7. Anita, Candee, Rhonda and Sharon (Sharon it's so great to see you!) thanks for your encouraging words. I know a lot of you out there CAN relate! I wrote these stories for God, so they're all in His wonderful hands. I just need to trust that He knows what's best. Actually, I KNOW He know's what's best. I just wish it was what I think is best. LOL Anyway, I'll let you all know as soon as I hear something. HUGS! xoxox

  8. Thinking of you, Sandi!
It's 'next week' now and I wonder how long it will be till you hear. I'm sure you're trying not to hang on that timing, and I know you are leaving it in God's hands.
