Meet D. H. Parker and WIN her book!

I'd like to introduce a new author (well, she's new to me, anyway). I met Donna on one my writing loops, and her commitment and love for the Lord is something that touches me deeply. So now, I'd like for her to have the opportunity to touch all of you!

Donna has published a number of novels, and since small presses don't have the man-power and money to promote their work, I want to lend a hand to this talented author.

So now . . . please allow me to introduce Donna!

Donna (D. H.) Parker was born in the rural Missouri Ozarks during an ice storm. Despite some circumstantial evidence to the contrary, she did not grow up in the 1800s. The most important things in her life are her Christianity and her family. She loves books, both reading and writing them; old things and their histories; and music, especially Celtic and bluegrass fiddle music. She and her husband of nearly four decades currently live in Alabama. They have two adult sons.

Today, I'd like to introduce you to her book titled: SONG OF HEALING.

The Man from the Sea is in the legend, in the prophesy, in little Sarah Macneill's heart--until the traumatic reality of growing up buries her beloved fantasy. Will the unexpected and unwanted resurrection of things past lead the adult Sarah to destruction or to her Song of Healing?

Donna, what do you hope readers will walk away with after reading SONG OF HEALING?

I've always been a writer, but I began my quest for publication because as a reader I found so few stories that Christians could enjoy without wading through profanity and/or "steamy" romance. I didn’t sit down to write Song of Healing with a message in mind. I merely wanted readers to have a good story. But, as the book evolved, it may have taken on a message. As a Christian, I sometimes hear people call religion “only myth”, so maybe this story is, in an allegorical way, partly a reaction to that. In general, I would like readers to finish any of my books feeling uplifted, entertained and reassured that happy endings still exist.
